The Solent Partnerships Team is responsible for delivering information about higher education and Southampton Solent University to schools and colleges. These pages will show representatives from schools and colleges and their students the outreach work that Southampton Solent University carries out and more importantly the services we can offer you.

Presentation and talks

Southampton Solent University gives talks and presentations| on many different aspects of higher education at events all over the country.  

Attendance at events

Throughout the year we attend events| all over the country to talk to students about the courses we offer and about higher education in general.

Taster days

The University organises taster days |throughout the year for school and college students. Picture above shows a group of college students visiting for a Law Taster Day. 

Workshops

Our staff are often asked to facilitate workshops|. 

Roadshows

The University is happy to attend colleges at any time with a display stand |and copies of the latest prospectus to talk about higher education and the courses we offer.  

Student Ambassador Scheme

A team of Solent undergraduate students currently work as Ambassadors| for Southampton Solent University.

Other services

We offer a range of additional services| to schools and colleges.

Aimhigher

The Aimhigher programme| supports a range of activities including collaborative working between schools, colleges and higher education institutions in order to increase the educational attainment and aspirations of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Compact Scheme

The Compact Scheme| aims to encourage participation in higher education for students who may not normally consider going to university, or students who through no fault of their own may not achieve their full potential at further education level.
